7 Now apportion this land as an inheritance for nine of the tribes and one of the half tribes of Manasseh.”

8 Together with the other half tribe of Manasseh, the Reubenites and Gadites had already received their inheritance from Moses in the area east of the Jordan, just as Moses, the servant of the Lord, had assigned it to them.
9 It extended from Aroer, which is on the edge of the Arnon Canyon, and from the city that is in the middle of the canyon, and included all the tableland[a] from Medeba to Dibon.
